The minimum quantity for clothing production is one of the most frequently asked questions — and also one of the most nuanced answers.
How minimums work in practice
An MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) generally applies per style per colour variant. If you want a hoodie in black and white, you have two MOQs. If you also want that same hoodie in a child's size, you have a third MOQ.
Starting brand (50–150 pieces)
Look for local ateliers in Europe or partners with low MOQs. BC Branding is less suited to this phase, unless you consciously choose to produce at scale from the outset.
Growing brand (300–1,000 pieces)
This is BC Branding's core range. Full customisation on every component of the garment, own quality control in the factory, competitive unit price.
Scaling brand (1,000+ pieces)
At larger volumes, further price reductions are possible and capacity planning becomes more important. BC Branding scales with the brand.
